Geeglee is our second Solution Space Engineering’s approach but the very first one at this kind of modelling, simulation, analyzing, and presentation in our Company. It is a class by its own.
We are using Geeglee for initial architectural design of EE Architectures, impressed by the smart handling of complexity as well as the easy-to-use user experience of the whole tool suite. Methodological and tool support are excellent. Hence, we are going to enhance the list of System of Interests (SOI) a lot.
Geeglee has the capability to formalize our engineering knowledge in a well-structured manner everyone can understand. Reliable solutions are simulated fast and especially the interactive way to analyze solution spaces is a great new experience to speed up management decisions.

“Geeglee is a fantastic tool to capitalize on the knowledge of several experts in different fields as well as on data recorded on site or from simulations and make valuable decisions based on this mixed information. Geeglee has been used by Schneider to evaluate electrical distribution architectures based on several products and obtain a complete parametric database including expertise, design features, tests and measurements. Beyond the initial objective of highlighting all architectures that meet a set of requirements, Geeglee and its associated approach have been able to clean up the old database by bringing up inconsistent data. Multiple applications of Geeglee have been identified within Schneider and should be studied in the coming months”.

« GEEGLEE is a useful tool to explore complex design space under uncertainty based on our know-how. GEEGLEE has been used by STELLANTIS in advance project to explore battery configurations (cells as well as modules arrangement) for future electrical cars including whole market segments. Over the initial objective to explore configurations, GEEGLEE proves its ability to easily test discipline intuitions as well as market evolution regarding the robustness of engineering decisions. In the end, GEEGLEE leads to identify a new way of engineering, faster and smarter, sharing design and decision rules instead of a sequence of technical inventory carried out over closed but not robust decisions. »

« Geeglee is an amazing software deployed as an efficient tool to accelerate our early activities while looking for the best architecture of LNG plants: it acts as a catalyst for the know-how in the process, engineering, estimating, planning and construction experts of Technip Energies Paris Operating Center. Geeglee embeds, for instance, all liquefaction technologies as well as a complete technical catalogue of gas turbines to support the choice of the best combination of components to satisfy the needs of a dedicated LNG project. The CAPEX of each unit for each design option is evaluated using correlations of Engineering, Procurement and Construction costs, based on project benchmarks intra- or extrapolated, if need be. The results are scored considering the key drivers used to screen conceptual solutions : LNG production, CAPEX, OPEX, CO2 footprint, availability, HSE … to support the best architecture selection. »

By enabling to reverse the engineering logic during trade-offs, the tool also allows to share a common engineering vision on technical and economic performances, and ease discussions between different expertise.

With this capitalization, Geeglee Intelligence (editor’s note: the second tool in the Geeglee suite) allows multiple scenarios to be played (definition of constraints, real-time visualization of the evolution of the space of possibilities...) to help the decision. And this is interesting for us to challenge, to share with a client very quickly, to explain, efficiently, how we arrived at this or that proposal. It is therefore also a tool to sell the solution.

" I found myself in big meetings (...) where the whole engineering team did their analysis, explored 15 solutions, they are super proud, it took them 3 months. And there’s the big meeting with the chief, and the chief says, "But then, why didn’t you take the calculator thing instead of that? " , and then the guys say " Oh no we haven’t studied that one. " and then well if we want to study this solution, you have to take 1 month, it will cost 500 hours. Whereas if we used Geeglee, the solution is there, so I change, I put the calculator in question and I have the immediate answers with the snowball effect: compatibility, cost, etc. "
